The Project Competence Concept

With its Project Competence Concept, Steinbeis University is setting domestic and international standards in executive employee development. PhD students work on a challenging, live project in partnership with a company. The project is implemented directly within the sponsoring company. This allows both parties to reap value-added from the process as the qualification Steinbeis provides fits precisely to the needs of the company and employees.

Project within the company
Formal: Registration requirements
Conceptual: Integral transfer instrument 
In terms of content: Academic problem from business practice

Competence
Problem solving by transferring the findings of research to a live problem within the business.

Doctorate
Executive approach (in parallel to employment), “vocationally integrated” through the project within the company
