The “Project Competence Degree” – dovetailed with practice, geared to modern business.
The Project Competence Degree (PCD) offered at the Steinbeis University Berlin is the only program of its kind in Germany. The degree centers around a project and project-related work: each student agrees a business project with their sponsoring company, looking at a specific problem within the business. During their studies, the students grapple with their individual tasks and pinpoint solutions. All project work is documented and forms the basis of the final thesis. Key to success: relevance to the company, problem-solving grounded in scientific theory, the practicality of the approach.
The lecturers and supervisors on the degree program are drawn from business and the world of science and academia. This ensures that the courses dovetail innovative concepts with the very latest scientific findings and can then be applied, or “transferred”, to the project. This successful approach to studying allows knowledge to fuel training and, ultimately, individual ability – linking personal success to company success in a meaningful way.
