Length of degree:
The degree normally lasts 24 months. The seminars with compulsory attendance take place as blocks at regular intervals.

  • Steinbeis University Berlin (the Friedrichshain area of Berlin)
  • Stuttgart Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT, the Plieningen area of Stuttgart)
  • Haus der Wirtschaft (Stuttgart)
  • other Steinbeis University facilities and seminar hotels  
     

Studying abroad:
There'll be a two weeks lasting trip abroad (e.g. Brasil, China, Canada, USA). Depending on the program, this includes a foreign market report, seminars at partner universities, or both.

Languages used in teaching:
German and English

Teaching methods:
Lectures, class work, work in small groups, open discussion, case studies, presentations, web-based training sessions.

General syllabus:

Seminars (also in the form of lectures, “blended learning” modules, exercises etc.), formally assessed through:

  • Exams
  • Presentations
  • Case studies

 

A project, formally assessed via:

  • Transfer papers (approx. 5 pages)
  • Transfer documentation and transfer reports (each approx. 10 pages)
  • Project assessments/papers (each approx. 20 pages)
  • Master’s thesis (approx. 80-100 pages, plus presentation and viva)

This academic degree is recognized by the German government.

Accreditation:
The SteinbeisMBA was re-accredited by the FIBAA in September 2009.
