School of Management and Innovation
The School of Management and Innovation (SMI) provides the services of a modern business school tailored to the future of business. As well as enabling people to develop personally and professionally, the SMI uncovers future potential for companies. It achieves this through a variety of executive degree programs and research aimed at transferring findings in its two fields of competence. These are the communications industry on the one hand, through the “SMI Center for Marketing, Media and Creative Leadership”, and the financial and property industry on the other, through the “SMI Center for Finance, Banking and Real Estate”.
One of the main appeals of SMI degree programs is the way they cover three main areas: first, a solid grounding in management theory; second, specialized knowledge in sectors or business disciplines; third, a live “innovation project” pertinent to a company. The SMI also offers made-to-measure programs for companies. In recent years, the SMI has established successful Corporate Universities for financial services providers and leading media and telecommunications companies.
Students taking elementary business degrees under the bachelor’s program can specialize in the area of media, marketing, IT management, trade management, finance and real estate. This degree is aimed at ambitious specialists and fast-track up-and-coming managers. SMI offers people with business experience and a first academic degree the postgraduate Master of Business Administration (MBA). The SMI MBA programs focus on the media, marketing, creative leadership, trade or finance, and are targeted at ambitious managers, entrepreneurs and high-potentials with several years’ experience. The MBA focuses on developing business management skills, leadership and innovative fl air. The SMI also offers master’s programs specializing in banking and finance, and real estate.
