Steinbeis Business Academy

The institutes that form the network of the Steinbeis Business Academy (SBA) provide full-time employees with the chance to study for a degree that not only covers general management issues but also offers in-depth seminars on specific sectors of industry. This is of particular interest to students of public health, social services, trade and industry and the skilled trades and crafts professionals. SMA research focuses on public health, education and business.

People offering the specialist skills of an expert combined with management skills are in strong demand. Intimate knowledge of a sector of industry is an ideal foundation for efficient management. The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree programs smoothen the transition of specialists and young managers into management. The socialBBA and Bachelor of Arts (BA) answer the constantly growing demand for employee education through universities, particularly in the field of public health and social services. As well as learning how to master planning and management tasks, students gain the qualifications required to head up departments at hospitals, care homes, rehabilitation centers and youth centers. The economicBBA is targeted at people working in skilled trades, retailing and manufacturing. For people working at transnational companies, there is the InternationalBBA. The TourismBBA is for people working in tourism, hotels and catering. New to the fold are the FashionBBA for people in the “rag trade”, the PharmaBBA for pharmaceuticals and the BBA in Product Engineering.

MBA students have a variety of electives to choose from: general management, healthcare management, social management, and education management. They can also gain supplementary qualifications in business security management, retailing and systemic consulting. Partnerships with a large number of companies and organizations, some of which have been running for years, enable the Steinbeis Business Academy to offer a variety of such subjects. The SBA study trip allows students to look beyond their own culture and business environment. Students visit our partner universities in Georgia, Italy, Canada and the United States as part of the overseas study trip. The SBA also enjoys strong links to companies allover Europe.
