Steinbeis Center of Management and Technology

The Steinbeis Center of Management and Technology (SCMT) caters to all current and future training and employee education needs. Through its research, education and consulting activities, it provides participants with certified apprenticeships, state-approved bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and doctoral studies – with everything under one roof. The SCMT also supports companies with research and consulting projects aimed at fostering growth and innovation. Thanks to the SCMT, high potentials gain the qualifications they need for a long and successful career with the company. The SCMT also pinpoints, screens, recruits and sponsors talented individuals.

The SCMT lays the foundations of personal and professional success by carefully matching its services to the individual needs of specialists and managers – as well as up-and-coming managers – in all sectors of trade and industry. As part of its Corporate University Program, the SCMT also develops made-to-measure seminars and study programs for companies. The SCMT is involved in a variety of studies and research programs in the following fields: strategic growth management at owner-managed SMEs working in the field of know-how; business process outsourcing; and emotional intelligence in medium-sized German business. This involvement places SCMT at the forefront of innovation in industry and society as a whole. The St. Gallen Management Seminar focuses on fostering entrepreneurial thinking. Based on the concept of “Management knowledge in a nutshell”, this fast-track seminar has already shared the latest management thinking with more than 30 rounds of participants. The SCMT Executive Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is offered in partnership with the Institute for Small and Medium-Sized Companies at the University of St. Gallen. It is targeted at experienced practicians from all types of companies, including people without high school qualifications. Building on this, the SCMT offers the Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA). This focuses on general management and strategic innovation to offer systematic development opportunities to the upper echelons of senior management.

The International Management & Innovation MBA program is targeted at (young) professionals with at least two years’ work experience. They receive general management training from an international perspective in parallel to their full-time work. For graduates of a technical, arts or economics background, the SCMT offers the Master of Business Engineering (MBE), a worldwide unique program to provide courses at a variety of international locations hand-in-hand with a live project at a partner company. This prepares students for all aspects of their future role in management.
