Steinbeis-Technology-Group

The training and employee development programs offered by the Steinbeis-Technology-Group (STG) are designed to demonstrate the interplay between productivity, quality and costs through the principle of “The relationship between technology and time, and time and cost”. This involves systematically analyzing and organizing research and development projects. This forms the backbone of the curriculum and provides meaning to the students’ research and development activities.

The STG merges technical and industrial engineering issues under the umbrella of a project competence bachelor’s or master’s degree. The disciplines offered include test engineering, materials and production, electrotechnical systems, energy technology, development, construction and test engineering, and research development management. The Group also offers technology seminars on a variety of other issues.

The STG’s project competence degree is oriented closely towards the everyday needs of business, underpinned by a solid theoretical grounding. The STG works with a variety of leading experts from industry, education and research, and has also entered into cooperation and framework agreements with the Dresden-based engineering service specialist IMA GmbH, the German Association for Materials Research and Testing (DVM) in Berlin, Siemens AG in Berlin, TUJA Holding GmbH in Ingolstadt, ADECCO Germany Holding GmbH and DIS AG in Dusseldorf, and München Siemens Professional Education and euro engineering AG in Munich.

This work is supported by a study and research center operated in partnership with IMA GmbH in Dresden. The STG also regularly hosts a series of conventions on applied technology, and produces publications on the subject. To support its training and employee development activities, the Group is also part of a European network on joint technology and knowledge transfer. STG also exchanges specialists and teaching staff with partner organizations in Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Italy and Germany, in keeping with its philosophy of “mastering the fundamentals, shaping innovation, fostering progress in technology”.
