Steinbeis Network
Our university is a subsidiary of the Steinbeis Foundation for Economic Development. Spanning a worldwide network of specialists and experts, as well as offering training and employee development, the Steinbeis organization provides a variety of services including: consulting and advisory services, research and development support, evaluations and expert reports.
The Steinbeis name stands for the efficient and effective assimilation of theory and everyday practice, where the world of academia and science meets business and commercial practice. Founded in its current form in the German state of Baden-Württemberg in 1983, the Steinbeis Network has become synonymous with tangible competitive knowledge and technology transfer.
The Steinbeis Network currently encompasses more than 800 centers and institutes. Each specializes in a specific field, servicing the requirements of all technical and management disciplines. Most centers are managed and run by university professors who actively embody the Steinbeis principle of merging academic theory and learning with everyday business practice.
The aim of the Steinbeis organization is to foster effective and efficient cooperation between scientific and academic establishments and trade and industry. It does this by providing access to knowledge and technology “at the source”, adhering strictly to the principles and workings of markets and competition. Underpinned by the Steinbeis framework, a backbone through the center of the decentralized network, this engenders a symbiosis between the entrepreneurial assumption of personal responsibility and binding guidelines, which provide orientation and order.
