We see diversity as a strength. Our employees and students bring a wide range of different backgrounds, experiences, potentials and skills – and this is an essential driver for the further development of Steinbeis University. Accordingly, constructive cooperation between all those involved in studies, teaching, research and administration is important to us.

All measures and objectives relating to equality are set out in the Steinbeis University Equality Policy. Its implementation is in the hands of our equal opportunities officer. Their rights and obligations are essentially derived from the Higher Education Act of the State of Saxony-Anhalt.

The equal opportunities officers are involved in all committees and commissions, such as the Senate, the departmental council, and appointments. Our Diversity Management team, which includes the equal opportunities officers and the disability officer, also offers expert advice and support in cases of conflict and sexual harassment—both for individuals and groups.
